A Kula Hawai'i
We believe students have unlimited potential. ~ We seek to empower students to see the world through multiple perspectives to expand awareness, resulting in greater empathy, curiosity, and understanding of the whole. ~ In social settings, we help students relate to all and not limit themselves based on perceived identities. ~ We support students in trusting their internal understanding of Self to guide their actions in the world. ~ We strive to help students recognize the connection of all things.

Moving Forward
We're doing a phased reopening for our independent school. We're kicking things off by opening up the Grades 7 - 10 this year and then adding more grades in the years to come. We promise it'll be worth the wait.
Can't wait to see you all again soon!
Since '95
Our school is proud to provide a Nature Inspired Learning Environment that encourages students to connect with the natural world around them. From our green campus grounds to our thoughtfully designed classrooms, we aim to create a space that fosters creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning that extends beyond the walls of the classroom.
History
We are an independent non-profit school located on a beautiful 22-acre campus on the North Shore of Kauaʻi. A Kula originally opened its doors in 1995 and is now reopening after being closed for several years. Being situated in Hawaii, a special emphasis on an Indigenous model of knowing and learning is integrated into the curriculum.
Our Commitment
A Kula is committed to the re-examination of the Hawaiian Native Traditions which were likely misinterpreted under colonial influence. The Native Hawaiian culture has a rich and sophisticated philosophical tradition that was not previously understood. With our integrated systems of learning, A Kula will help bring a deeper respect of the indigenous population of the island.
